This has been going on for

This has been going on for three to four years now in Missouri as well. Perhaps there are branches of this MEGA Highway or perhaps it is not settled as to where to put the darn thing. In either case, it is typical of this presidency to have agenda's for a mere few and not "play" by the rules made for the rest of us.

A major port has already been purchase and established in Missouri at a former airbase. Everyone involved has signed off on their portion. A small local newspaper has published articles from time to time on it's progression. They make it seem as though this is just a commodity trading endeavor. What's wrong with a nice stretch of highway and railway to make commerce move more swiftly.

But the double speak of our times seems troubling in that we are most concerned about immigrants evading and putting up a wall to survey & monitor; while propaganda is spilt to enhance our exceptance of more foreigners around us. And, somehow this all comes back to TERRIORISM....?????

The wall is bad!
Trading with outside countries is good!
Moving our industries to other countries is bad!
Immigration with limits is good!
War on Terrorism is BAD!

The coalition of Bush Administration is BAD & I bet if you examin it closely, they are the same folks from the 1960's Nixon coalition.

I do wonder why it is that the common folk of America seem to have the same vein of opinion; yet, it is not the outcome of voting, etc???

Is this what you are

Is this what you are describing? The TTC?

Here's a Google Search.

It's reported to be planned for 50-year completion.

I am less concerned about nefarious governmental crap than I am about something in Texas being planned to last for 50 years. This thing coule be milked for 3 generations in cost overruns and missed deadlines and rampant cronyism... A Superhighway to corruption.

With the cost of gasoline appearing to soon escalate beyond the means of most of us, these super-highway things will really be for the rich. They'll be secure from the crime which will flourish domestically as people lose jobs and can't afford to eat or live indoors anymore.

And with the recession, the housing-credit meltdown and already higher gas prices, many people are already feeling the crunch and I have seen some reports that crime is already rising.

It'll definitely get interestinger and interestinger....
