Many speculate on the democratic value of the caucus system because it requires people to be available at a specific time where in a primary you have all day long to vote. Thus the Iowa Caucus being held in the eventing and the upcoming Nevada primary being held on a Saturday.

This is a biiiiiig weekend. This is the weekend where Rudy is making his pitch to the evangelical political movement (EPM) to see if he can counteract the vow their leaders took to stop his GOP nomination. If he can persuade them to “get on board”—he stands a chance of winning the nomination and then the presidency.
If he can’t: he may still win the nomination, but he won’t win the presidency.

Yes...Republican Ass Biters.
Who'd have thunk it? The man behind (no pun intended) the California initiative to split California's electoral vote is a Rudy Giuliani supporting, Ass-biting Missouri Republican. Yes...ass biting. From the Daily News:

There's one thing we're learning very quickly about Rudy Giuliani-- his truth-telling and personnel judgment skills are very, very suspect.
According to Giuliani's web site, the former New York mayor...

Rudy Giuliani, whose poor judgment is marked all over his speech during the 2004 Republican National Convention, wants to keep on executing the same poor judgment on economic affairs that the one he spoke out for has exercised throughout his White House reign.

Right off the bat, let's get this straight. Giuliani is worse than George Bush.
Mr. Giuliani backs all of the most brazen features of the Bush administration's global agenda. But he tosses in several deeply scary initiatives of his own that George W. never touched. Stephen Schlesinger
Now here's the quick take:

Summary: The next U.S. president will face three key foreign policy challenges: setting a course for victory in the terrorists' war on global order, strengthening the international system the terrorists seek to destroy, and extending the system's benefits. With a stronger defense, a determined diplomacy, and greater U.S. economic and cultural influence, the next president can start to build a lasting, realistic peace. Foreign Affairs

From July 6th to July 9th of 2007, Strategic Vision conducted a gallop poll out of 1,200 likely voters in the state of Pennsylvania that provided interesting yet predictable results. In overwhelming numbers, Republican and Democratic voters alike were dissatisfied with Bush’s handling of everything from the war in Iraq (20% approval rating), the economy (21% satisfied), and his overall performance (23% gave him the thumbs up). Hardly desirable statistics for George Bush or Republican presidential hopefuls.

Former NJ Governor and EPA chief Christine Todd Whitman has made the claim that in the aftermath of 9/11, then New York City Mayor Rudolph Giuliani refused her recommendation that 9/11 emergency rescue workers wear respirators at ground zero. She makes further suggestions that some decisions made by “America’s Mayor” at that time placed public perception ahead of the safety of those on the front lines who were the legitimate heroes of that tumultuous period.

Giuliani: Joining Iraq Study Group a mistake
By MIKE GLOVER, Associated Press Writer
DES MOINES, Iowa - Republican presidential contender Rudy Giuliani said Wednesday it was a mistake for him to join the Iraq Study Group, on which he lasted just two months and failed to show for any official meetings. The former New York mayor has tried to tamp down criticism in recent days after Newsday reported that Giuliani was a no-show for two of the group's meetings and instead attended paid public appearances.

This is a bit off the beaten path for me, I don't ordinarily write about Republican Presidential candidates.
Today is not a good day for Rudy.
Both the Washington Post and New York Magazine seem to want the American people to learn a little about Rudy, the Emperor with no clothes.
