The great war correspondent Chris Hedges has posted a beautiful endorsement of Dennis Kucinich for President on Truthdig, and he makes it perfectly clear that Kucinich is the only candidate campaigning for exactly what almost everyone who posts on progressive blogs like Diatribune and Daily Kos wants to happen:

Something odd is going on - and I'm not sure if it was intentional, or simply an error by my Internet Service Provider, however, whatever the cause, I missed Dennis Kucinich this weekend at Columbus, Ga., only because I didn't receive the email that was sent on Tue 11/13/2007, at 11:45 PM until early this morning, Monday at 6:32 AM., well after the event was over. This is part of the email I received, and while the spam seems to be getting though to me on a regular basis, now I have to wonder about the integrity of our email system - and maybe everyone else should too!

Americans have been driven by fear, lies, and the propaganda of the profoundly ruthless into a collective hysteria, a madness that has been exploited by its authors to manipulate us into a devastating and unjust war – and there’s another even bigger one coming up.  What is so amazing is that even the ‘leaders’ on our side of the aisle are acting as though it is all perfectly acceptable – entirely and indisputably sane.  They have bought into the patently false GWOT meme and are shamelessly chugging the Kool-Aid in public like a bunch of drunken power whores.
