Abstract. Given corporation dominance of the media and its multiple sources of bias, dependence upon the internet for less subjective, if not completely objective, information has become important to those who want to discover truths about domestic politics and foreign affairs. Some of our most popular internet sources, however, can display bias of their own. I offer as an example my experience with the Daily Kos, a site that we would all expect to be “fair and balanced”. The abuse to which I was subjected was not only corrupt but actually self-defeating, if the aim is discovering truth rather than, say, misleading the public.
