New help for US soldiers with PTSD

After Bob Woodruff was blown off, at the end, from his question to the president, with that Damn Sick smirk and laugh, Woodruff had a follow up report about the Military/VA Care given.

The following is a combination of the two News Clips, from ABC News. One is of the press conference held on the 25th of July, the other is the followup report.

I did a search Here, the very popular Progressive interactive blog, and found 1 posting on Camillo “MAC” Bica's third installment on PTSD, his PTSD: Beyond PTSD, Part Three The Moral Casualties of War, War Crazy

My regular readers know that I am a veteran with PTSD.  For those of you who are not familiar with my writings over the past two years, I will do a brief recap.

There are many fine diaries about the WAPO article by  Dana Priest and Anne Hull, and on top of the other work on exposing the mess at Walter Reed and the military's failure to fully care for the injured of this war.

This morning I heard three issues I really wanted to talk about. 1. The expected negative Pentagon Surge Report, 2. a very titillating story I heard about Bloomberg and Arnold, and a third party 3. Supposed experts saying when all is said and done Guiliani would be facing Hillary in 2008. No friggen way. Maybe Romney VS. Edward's or Obama, Gore would be nice.

The last show they talked about a number of things but most on their agenda is fighting for educational benefits for the returning Veterans of these present day conflicts.

I have been trying to get Congress to help 7120 men used in chemical weapons and drug experiments from 1955 thru 1975 at Edgewood Arsenal Maryland that the Department of Defense and Veterans Administration refuse to help.

I happened to catch the followup to Daniel Zwerdings previous reports about the treatment of Combat Soldiers returning from Iraq and Afganistan and Foghting the Demons, better known as PTSD!

With all we now know about what Combat can do to many of those who serve We Haven't Learned A Damn Thing.

In one of the ugliest stories of veterans care and the help to process his claim thru the VA, this shows the perfect example of how these government employees are failing to due what is expected of them.
