I think George Carlin would be amused that even following his death the mainstream media can’t bring itself to cover the truth about what he had to say. In the majority of the coverage about Carlin I’ve seen, the talking heads simply speak about his "seven words you can’t say on television" or his desire to "push the limits." They don’t want to discuss the dirty details of the truth and social commentary Carlin brilliantly vocalized. That’s what made Carlin a legend, not merely his desire to say "Fuck" on the radio.
Time and again we’ve watched you bully your victims (or “guests” as you duplicitously refer to them) from your secure little perch high atop the food chain of craven and mendacious propagandists dutifully maintaining the pernicious lies that perpetuate the moral retardation and turpitude of this nation. You are a truly despicable human being. And by the way, Bill, characterizing you as a human being is a sign of our generosity and open-mindedness.
Enough is enough! I'm not a Ron Paul supporter, however I do look upon him as the next best candidate compared to Dennis Kucinich, but these relentless attacks and marginalizing of Ron Paul by Fox News are now bordering on the absurd. Fox is complaining their vehicles were vandalized in New Hampshire because of “anti-Fox hatred.” The below story appeared on NewsMax, another vocal Republican mouthpiece, and the statements made by Bill O’Reilly are blatant spin and lies, fodder for the rabid right-wing element in America that still consider Faux News to be a reliable news source:
How could this be?! This is indeed breaking news, because it may very well be the first time FoxNews has done something right - er... correctly.
This comes on the heals of the CNN blunder in reporting a lot of misinformation about young people and the youth vote in 2008. Add to that Naomi Wolf and Courtney Martin and you're ready for your own nuclear meltdown of frustration.
Today, unfortunately, CNN joined ranks with Fox News, known to freethinking individuals as "Faux News", or my favorite, "The Republican Learning Channel." If you want to hear political spin and propaganda, then keep your TV tuned to Fox, and now, it appears that CNN is joining their ranks, leaving citizens who seek truth and facts with very few alternatives other than turning off their TV's and reading the alternative news on the Internet.
The news addicted have for some time had the habit of keeping CNBC on one of their monitors throughout the day; and those who follow news professionally will keep more than one of the channels they offer on multiple screens, so as to better track the activities of business markets around the world.
Many in the community of viewers are highly wealthy, highly influential...and likely the best demographic group available to advertisers anywhere outside of a polo match.
In an effort to tap into the wealth of the “polo crowd”, Fox Business has launched its rhetorical yacht into the media ocean, and we’ll compare the two channels today.
Does freedom of speech allow Fox News and their hate mongering right-wing pundits to pollute America’s airwaves with propaganda disguised as news? I have serious doubts that propaganda is legal in any form, however, the government may use it disguised as a ploy to promote “National Security” – but a lie cannot be disguised as truth without committing fraud, and we as a nation should demand truth. However, as it pertains to Fox News and their daily dose of hatred, they cannot claim to be a government entity, and promoting lies and political spin that borders on fraud should be illegal, and in this writer’s opinion, it is detrimental to the public and helps to promote hate and fascism, the obvious goal(s) of the Bush administration and Rupert Murdoch.
woke up from a nap Monday afternoon to a Faux News report that the FBI had labeled Britney Spears as a “person of interest” in their investigation of the conspiracy to hire O.J. Simpson to murder Kevin Federline. Okay, maybe I got that a little mixed up but…did somebody set off a daja vu bomb while I was sleeping or am I just a little late in developing my long anticipated schizophrenia? This O.J thing is like the ultimate re-run of a re-make of “The Press Frenzy that Ate Reality”. Good God, somebody put out a contract on Kevin Federline? Why? Like the puddles under the soft serve dispenser at Burger King, eventually Kevin will evaporate on his own leaving behind merely a floor stain. Why go to all the trouble of killing him? But in the meantime, assuming somebody was interested enough to plan a rubbing out the Fed-ex, was it Britney or just some music lovers? Or maybe it was some teenagers from the mall, looking to eliminate the one celebrity who makes them look committed by comparison. Or maybe The Juice was hired to remove that insipid smirk off The Fed’s face. I’m telling you, it’s been a hell of a week according to Faux News, and the week has barely started.
After the repeated attacks on bloggers that we've seen on FoxNews shown to us by BraveNewFilms and what they've spent the week leading up to YearlyKos talking about on O'Reily (which I've been subject to by some nutbar who changes the station at my gym).
