Veterans For Peace presented 22,000 signatures calling for Bush impeachment to Rep. Conyers (D-MI)

Veterans For Peace (VFP) had planned a sit-in at Rep. Conyers office before he agreed to a meeting. VFP presented 22,000 signatures to Rep. Conyers, who chairs the House Judiciary Committee. Coincidentally, Congress referred the 35 articles of impeachment that Rep. Kucinich introduced on Monday to the House Judiciary Committee. Rep. Conyers has not stated any plans to move forward with impeachment.

He wouldn't mind this being passed on as the poem within speaks volumes of how many of us Veterans started our growing feelings about the coming War and they've grown more intense these last 5yrs. as the Body Counts, Military and Civilian, have grown! As well as the numbers Maimed and the , once again, reports of the treatment given to those returning wounded, maimed, physically and mentally!

The VFP convention, for 2007, is taking place this weekend in the hometown of the National Office, St Louis.

It's the 22nd Annual Veterans For Peace Convention comprising Veterans from WWII to the present day, and sadly growing, as our so called modern wars are frequent and are wars of choice not need.

Remember when a certain American Political party were screaming that the U.S. Military should not be the 'Police Force' of the World, well guess what, that same party, and it's leadership have turned our Military into the most destructive 'Police Force' on the face of this planet, for that's exactly what we are in Iraq and and to a bit lesser degree in Afghanistan!
