Hiroshima: New Questions about Old Rationalizations

On Baby Nukes, Or, Sometimes The Smallest Things Cause The Biggest Problems

We come before you today with another of those giant stories.

In fact, this one is so large that to make it a bit more digestible we’re going to break it down into smaller parts. Today’s, obviously, is part one.

The issues we’ll discuss will be an immediate concern of the next President, they impact upon our relationships with many of the world’s nations, and they directly affect whether we will return to a nuclear arms race with Russia…and even more fundamentally, whether we will be a nation that embraces the “first use” of nuclear weapons while asking others to give them up.

And with that, I bid you welcome to the mostly uncharted territory of “Nonstrategic Nuclear Weapons”.

French Say Iran attack Oct 15, NORTHCOM Plans 5 Day Martial Law Exercise The Same Day, Updated

Do you believe in coincidences? Of course, they happen all the time, and with this government, coincidence and incompetence are the bread and butter of the Bush administration. When I quoted "Le Canard Enchaîné" which I found in The New York Sun that predicted an attack on Iran would occur on October the 15th, I was then unaware that NORTHCOM was Planning a 5 Day anti-terrorism exercise called Vigilant Shield 08. I noted that members from the site George W. Bush - Terrorist in the White House were following a link to my article on the subject, Attack On Iran Slated For October 15th, Prepare For Disaster. Being my usual curious self, I went to their site, and I found this link staring me in the face - and when I read it, a chill ran up my spine as I attempted to grasp the magnitude of the "coincidence.":

All Options On The Table - Sixty-Two Years Later

On August 6, 1945, the nuclear bomb Little Boy was dropped on Hiroshima, thus marking the first time a nuclear weapon was used in the exercise of warfare.

Since that day, we have gone through the frightening decades of the Cold War, whereby the Mutually Assured Destruction (M.A.D.) doctrine constituted the sole deterrent which stood between the world and nuclear Armageddon.

Dealing With Savages or The Boy Who Cried Nuke

We in America love to demonize our enemies, with a broad brush we paint them, the only good Indian is a dead Indian. Or during World War two, the only good Jap was a dead Jap and by the internment of Japanese Americans we reinforced that notion.

Today America demonizes it’s enemies both real and imagined with terms such as
Islamofascist and narco terrorist’s. Big Brother himself would blush at the term Islamofascist, the idea that fascism which supports industry and government working in tandem while subrogating religion could ever be an Islamic goal.

Neocon Wet Dreams Are Fast Becoming Reality

With the Iraq and Afghanistan wars causing much chaos while encouraging increased insurgency and terrorism, with a confrontation against Iran looming, and with Pakistan now being likewise targeted by the rattling of American sabers, the rest of the Middle East is in turn gradually destabilizing, hopelessly caught in a sinking vortex that will lead ultimately to more war and chaos.

Let's cut through the mustard and all that jazz, here. We all know that in the fevered minds of the Bushies, their neocon supporters and their far-right fundamentalist Christian allies, this is all about two things, and two things only: hegemony of Christian fundamentalism and complete control of oil productivity.

In other words: defeat of Islam + fall of the Middle East = Holy American Empire.

Bush's New Nukes - Nobody's Safe

While the United States demands that other countries end their nuclear programs, the Bush administration is busy planning a new generation of nuclear weapons. Nearly 20 years after the Berlin Wall crumbled, the United States is allocating more funding, on average, to nuclear weapons -- than during the Cold War.
