Osama Bin Laden

UBL's October Surprise for Barack Obama

On October 30, 2004, Usama bin Laden released a videotape full of insults to George W. Bush, most of the Old Media immediately interpreted it as an endorsement of John Kerry for President, and it probably cost Kerry the election.

Some of the tape touts UBL's power over his silly little puppet, George W. Bush...

All that we have to do is to send two mujahidin to the furthest point east to raise a piece of cloth on which is written al-Qaeda, in order to make [U.S.] generals race there to cause America human, economic, and political losses...

Some of it has a weirdly Homeric quality...

But the darkness of the black gold blurred his vision and insight...

The Bogus Case Against bin Laden, and Why It Still Matters

The internet abounds with deconstructions of the case against Usama bin Laden for planning 9/11 and materially assisting the hijackers, and it isn't a hard case to deconstruct, because the so-called "evidence" against him consists of a sequence of simple-minded exercises in the art of foregone conclusions.

Threat From Without...or Within?

Who presents a greater threat to American society - international terrorists, or the current caretakers of the federal government?

The Other (Conveniently Forgotten) Quagmire

(Updatd below)

Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan, the sister of the Iraq War that is barely noticed by the American public, has been dragging on for almost seven years now - with no end in sight. And like it's younger sibling, this war is rife with incompetent decisions, wrongful approaches and utter failures. Strangely enough, this older quagmire is barely spoken of by the American MSM.

"Thanks for the Memories"

Ahhhh, those were the days!
And once again we revisit the past in the present!
One thing about the Human Animal, we never learn from our mistakes, we just invent new meanings to words and actions to justify our frailties using what we call think{?} tanks, people actually getting paid to come up with 'double speak'.
