Michael Moore recently went head-to-head with Dr. Sanjay Gupta, CNN’s chief medical correspondent, over a short, pseudo-journalistic hit-piece crafted by the latter in which Moore is charged with “fudging the facts” in Sicko, his new film about the woeful inadequacy of American health care. Their heated debate on Larry King Live provided little illumination, as both quibbled over figures and source citations. Moore did his best, over the course of five minutes, to refute what amounted to a cheap, underhanded assault on his journalistic credibility, but viewers could easily have come away from the exchange with little appreciation for just how sleazy and manipulative Dr. Gupta’s attack on Moore actually was.

Michael Moore made an appearance with Wolf Blitzer on CNN and unloaded on him and the MSM for not doing their jobs. This is definitely a must see. And make sure you stick around for the snide comment they made about Michael after he went off the air. These people have no ethics and no shame.

The primary means by which any governing power structure controls its populace is by exerting influence over the individual thought-process, influencing how the populace perceives reality. The main channels of control are therefore systems of education and public discourse (i.e., the media), and the primary methods are censorship of ideas, and censorship of facts. If one can accomplish the latter sufficiently, there is little need for the former. Discourse can proceed in the form of ostensibly oppositional debate, while the most crucial questions and realities are hidden in plain view.

While the for-profit insurance industry is rolling out their finest liars, people like Karen Ignagni the president and CEO of AHIP to spin deceit and bullshit about SiCKO, they'd be well advised to focus on the sick scum they have running their member companies.

Who is making news judgment decisions at CNN?

It is totally reprehensible that the station that calls itself "the most trusted name in news" has replaced an interview with Michael Moore about his movie about the health insurance industry with an "exclusive" interview with Paris Hilton about her about-to-be-completed jail service for drunk driving.

Since Michael Moore and SiCKO are going to be smeared and swiftboated, the time has arrived to kick back hard. The way we do this is to dispel absurd claims which have started to come fast and furious.

That's the conclusion I got from getting a glimpse of Moore's new film. As a 50 Year old with a high deductible Health insurance policy, my only thought was : I need to get the fuck out of this country. I took an online citizenship preliminary test for Canada awhile back and squeaked by. I could also go to Israel as a Jew. Yes, the rockets and bombs may be a hindrance.
