I did this picture many years ago. I think it was around the time of the first Gulf War. It was about the way it feels to sense that terrible forces are in play, that clouds are gathering, that the sun itself fears to shine, or is darkened (metaphorically speaking), that oneself and one's world are terribly threatened - yet that somehow hope and faith do NOT abandon you.
