Remember the GOP attempt to steal the 2008 presidential election with a cleverly-disguised ballot initiative designed to dilute California's electoral vote strength?
The Fox Republican Advocacy Channel is doing its best to spread the GOP disinformation about the initiative and call it the "reform initiative" that it isn't.
Besides labeling its proponent, GOP consultant Kevin Eckery, as "pro-reform" and critic (Democratic fundraiser) Ari Swiller as "anti-reform," the Fox segment failed to fulfill its basic responsibility-- describing who these men really are.
As one who used to practice the craft of journalism years ago, I am appalled that the Fox channel continues to get away with its description of itself as a "news channel." This attempt by Fox to aid and abet the rigging of the 2008 election in favor of Republicans must be called out.
In addition, those advertising on Fox should be urged to discontinue their ad buys on the station and the station must be ordered to end its description of itself as a "news" channel and call itself what it really is-- a Republican advocacy channel.
