Democrats in Washington began flooding Hillary Clinton with conference calls immediately after she won the South Dakota primary, and they finally mobbed her out of the race for the Democratic nomination for President of the United States.
All those bozos who turned majorities in both houses of Congress into a rubber stamp for funding the war in Iraq decided that the race ends whenever they say it ends, wherever they say it ends, and the rules of the Democratic Party don't really matter except when they favor Barack Obama.
We are the deciders! The Democratic establishment in Washington has learned a lot from George W. Bush!
It's obvious that "party unity" requires Hillary Clinton to drop out, and it has been obvious to the Washington establishment ever since March. Get lost, Hillary!
But it wasn't obvious to the voters, and every poll indicated that a majority of Democrats outside Washington wanted Hillary Clinton to keep running, and she did, and she defied the party establishment every step of the way ever since Iowa.
Super-delegates were invented to make sure that the nomination wasn't completely decided by the primary freak-shows, but that doesn't really matter to the party establishment. You could almost believe there's a rule that requires super-delegates to vote for the leader in pledged delegates in April, when the media and the party establishment started screaming "Get lost, Hillary!"...but there is no such rule.
A couple of states didn't want their primaries to be nullified by Iowa, so they moved the dates forward, and this enraged the party establishment almost as much as the possibility of nominating a woman. Get back to the back of the bus, Michigan and Florida! By the time you hold your meaningless primaries, the party establishment and the media will already have a candidate for you to submissively endorse, and if you don't like it, vote for the Republicans!
So Iowa and South Carolina and TV and the party establishment decided the Democratic nomination for President of the United States, and they completed the process with mob conference calls and every other conceivable form of intimidation and character assassination.
The deciders have decided, and now all the rest of us will obediently forget the most vicious campaign in the history of the Democratic Party, and vote for whoever the deciders have decided we should vote for.
Otherwise the bogey-man McCain will eat us up!
