In order to create a chat room in your tribe, you must first get a chat channel from site administrator. Each room uses its own channel. The best way to do this is to send Kerry a private message or e-mail kforet@yahoo.com. Once you know your channel number, you can create the room. Chat rooms are created in the same manner as other content. Click the create content link under navigation in the left sidebar, then click chat room. This will open the "create content" page titled "submit chat room". You need to give your room a title. It is not necessary to enter text in the body window. Under audience click the check box to the left of the tribe you are creating the chat room for. This will place the room in that tribe. Under "PhpFreechat settings" click the check box to the left of "show chat room". Enter the chat channel in the appropriate text box as "channel (x)" with x being the number you were assigned. Click preview and publish. This will place the chat room in your tribe.
