After you have created a tribe, the tribes with check boxes will appear in the "audience" section on "create content" pages giving you the option of publishing the content within the tribe. Check the box next to the tribe you want to publish the content to. You should only publish content to a tribe when that content is not intended to be viewed by the public and is specifically meant for those tribe members only. Any content that is published to the public can also be seen by members of your tribe so it is not necessary to add them. Adding public content to tribes tends to clutter the tribe pages very quickly. Also keep in mind that if your tribe is "open" to the public all content published in the tribe may be viewed by any member of Diatribune. If you want to restrict content to members only, the tribe needs to have restricted membership as well.
