Rush Limbaugh has (again) crossed the line.
The same Rush Limbaugh who mocked Michael J. Fox and his battle against Parkinson's has now aired a racist song about Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.).
The Limbaugh song about Obama, sung to the tune of the Peter, Paul and Mary classic, "Puff The Magic Dragon," refers to Obama as "the magic Negro" and uses an Al Sharpton impersonator to sing the song.
It's bad enough that Limbaugh continues to deliver his insults against groups of people he doesn't like. For those radio stations who continue to carry his show to look the other way while Limbaugh uncorks his poison is dereliction of duty at best.
Limbaugh must be forced off the air, and pressure must be put on the stations and advertisers who continue to air him. He may have commanded some strong Arbitron ratings, but what good are ratings when the one who draws them continues to spread his lies and venom on the air?
We deserve more than an apology from Limbaugh. He crossed the line too many times, and the time for his show to be forced off the air is long overdue.
