I was about to head to bed last night when I read a shocking story in which Michael Reagan called for the murder of an anti-war activist.
The object of Reagan's anger? Mark Dice, a fundie Christian conspiracy theorist. In looking more into this Dice fellow, I find myself concluding that while he may be a loathsome character, we nonetheless need to defend him against Reagan's criminal threats against him.
Dice founded an organization, variously called The Resistance, The Christian Resistance or The Resistance for Christ, which professes conspiratorial beliefs about the illuminati, freemasons, Skull and Bones, Bohemian Grove, the 9/11 attacks and satanism, and which has been reported to "flood the airwaves of call-in radio and television shows" to promote them.
His Website is being used largely to promote his book, "The Resistance Manifesto." It's loaded with the standard conspiracy theory claptrap, but also claims that 9/11 was an inside job.
The official story of the September 11, 2001 attacks is a complete fraud and full of lies. The Illuminati carried out the attacks, using al Qaeda (Al-CIA-Da) and their asset Osama Bin Laden. The evidence prior to the attacks had been purposefully suppressed, ensuring they would happen, and the Bush crime family’s involvement with al Qaeda is shocking even at a glance. For those who have never contemplated such treason and evil within our own government, the truth about the September 11th attacks is difficult to digest.
Once someone realizes the power of the forces at work, the Illuminati’s manufactured terrorist attacks become clear. (See Illuminati) This is the ruthlessness of the Hegelian dialect that has been applied by tyrants and dictators throughout history. While we will never know all the facts, we do know this: Factions within the United States government; the neocons, the Bush administration, the CIA, and the Military Industrial Complex helped plan and execute the attacks on September 11th 2001.
What makes this plot even more sinister is a closer look at the players involved, which reveal generations of Skull and Bones and Bohemian Grove members such as George W. Bush and Bush 41, former Director of the CIA.
Dice was putting together DVDs and letters promoting this crackpot idea and sending them to the troops to undercut their morale.
With that being said, however, let's make one thing clear. Regardless of what political persuasion you are, calling for those you disagree with to be murdered is illegal. Period, end of discussion. If we don't take a stand against Michael Reagan and demand that he be canceled and arrested for his actions, we have no business complaining about the way the right has coarsened the nature of political discourse in this country.
I find myself thinking back to Ernesto Miranda, the namesake of Miranda v. Arizona. Looking into the history of Miranda v. Arizona, he was as loathsome as they come. Per Wikipedia:
In March 1963, Ernesto Arturo Miranda (Ernest Arthur Miranda) (born in Mesa, Arizona in 1941, and living in Phoenix, Arizona) was arrested for the kidnapping and rape of an 18 year old woman. He later confessed to robbery and attempted rape under interrogation by police. At trial, prosecutors offered not only his confession as evidence (over objection) but also the victim's positive identification of Miranda as her assailant. Miranda was convicted of rape and kidnapping and sentenced to 20 to 30 years imprisonment on each charge, with sentences to run concurrently. Miranda's court-appointed lawyer, Alvin Moore, appealed to the Arizona Supreme Court which affirmed the trial court's decision. In affirming, the Arizona Supreme Court emphasized heavily the fact that Miranda did not specifically request counsel.
Nonetheless, the Supremes ruled that because of the highly coercive nature of interrogations used at the time, no confession could be admissible in court unless the defendant knew of his Fifth Amendment privilege and his right to counsel. What most people don't know is that Miranda was tried again and found guilty. One has to consider that in those days, even more so than now, rape was an offense in which you were presumed guilty until proven innocent. Nonetheless, the Court ruled that no matter what the offense, a defendant had to be advised of his rights.
The same holds true with Dice and Reagan. Dice's theories are utter lunacy, and it is galling that he is trying to push them on our troops. However, if there is any justice at all, Michael Reagan must be fired and arrested for his remarks.
With this in mind, it's time to crash the Inbox and tie up the phone lines for his distributor, Radio America. Contact info:
