We all feel pretty used right now - or we should. The netroots are alive with righteous rage. I think that’s a good thing. We have a right to be mortified. All the voices trying to calm us should stand down. Senator Kerry understands this.

We can all see where playing the game of pretend democracy has gotten us...just more of the same: war, torture, a government that spies on us, a corrosion of our civil rights, an utterly non-responsive government and the bitter short end of the economic stick.
We can all see where our political system is leading us...right off a fucking cliff. All this noise and rage you're hearing is us screaming as we approach the edge – or scramble to keep from going over it. We’re as good as dead if we continue to play this losing game.
What we the people want matters, and we want a showdown - win, lose or draw. We want opposition! Whether it succeeds or not - it is what the people want. And that matters in a democracy.
It’s time to admit that our government is broken and no longer serves the best interests of the people and the country, and is in fact no longer capable of it. Our government has lost all ability to do anything other than function as a cog in the machinery of the Military Industrial Congressional Complex.
We are going to have to go up against them. We’re going to have to face them down. We are going to have to wrest our country from their clutches, and we’re going to have to do it for ourselves. It’s clear that nobody we elect to office is going to do it for us. It’s time to take matters into our own hands.
It think we need to bring back 60s style activism. I think we need to kick out the jams. I think we need to flood the streets, the air ways, and the intertubes with our outrage and our protest. I’m calling for a general strike and war moratorium. Let’s party like it’s 1969!

in Atlanta for a start.
Raise hell at a major news outlet in an area of atlanta that is right next door to the AJC and that could snarl downtown traffic fiercely.
Business as usual should be disrupted - severely.
I loved all the hell they raised out west when the attack of Iraq commenced - people shutting down intersections - flash mobs wreaking havoc here then disappearing and re-appearing there. People making tea and serving dinner at tables in intersection.
Politeness ain't workin'.
