Who is making news judgment decisions at CNN?
It is totally reprehensible that the station that calls itself "the most trusted name in news" has replaced an interview with Michael Moore about his movie about the health insurance industry with an "exclusive" interview with Paris Hilton about her about-to-be-completed jail service for drunk driving.
While more than 40 million Americans languish without health insurance and many others forced to pay hunks of money that their own policies don't cover, Moore's effort to address the subject in his latest flick, "Sicko," deserved far more play than CNN's shutting it out in favor of Hilton.
Does CNN not understand that not one word Paris Hilton says will do anything to address the critical health insurance problems our nation faces? Does CNN not understand that not one word Paris Hilton says will provide decent employment for millions either without work or struggling just to make ends meet through jobs that just barely surpass paying the minimum wage?
The loonies at CNN must be made aware of this latest most despicable error of news judgment. Paris Hilton doesn't need any more coverage than she already gets while millions who need decent health insurance need answers, not a shove-off by a major media outlet.
