Stories are posts that are intended to educate, inform, or share personal experience. They may examine our cultural diversity and how that diversity impacts our society. They are not strictly political in nature but add social or educational value to a political site and contribute to the site's mission of promoting progressive values. The key factor differentiating diatribes and stories is that diatribes are political diaries and stories are not.
